Sensory Integration Twilight Event 

 A teaching event for Parents & Family members.

Wednesday 18th March 2020 6:30-8:30pm 

This teaching event is hosted by Jump Start Centre, an Occupational Therapy Centre that specialises in Sensory Integration. All of our Occupational Therapists have achieved postgraduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration. Our ‘Informing Sensory Integration Twilight Event’ will teach you about sensory integration, recognising signs of sensory integration and most importantly how you can help and support children who have sensory processing difficulties.

The course will be run over a 2 hour period at Jump Start Centre, Feering.

 Tea and coffee will be provided.

If you are a parent or family member who answers ‘yes’ to any of the questions below, then this course would be highly beneficial for you.

• Are they worried about certain textures?
• Do they hang upside down over the sofa? 
• Are you struggling to manage your child’s hyperactivity or the complete opposite? 
• Are you struggling to manage challenging behaviours within the home or community? 

The topics we will cover are: 

• What is sensory integration and why is it important
• What are the eight senses
• How does our brain integrate sensory input
• Sensory behaviours 
• Sensory strategies at home and in the community 

How will I be taught?

The sessions will be taught in a group environment. Two occupational therapists will host the event using a selection of powerpoints, handouts and activities. We want to make sure you absorb as much information as possible and in order to do so we have made only 10 spaces available for each event, so book yours today!
